Sahuaro Ranch Park

This is a picture of part of the park. Notice the roses in the foreground. They have declined and the Rose Society of Glendale was asked to assist with trying to restore the garden.
President Judy Hudgeons met with park officials and set up a pruning schedule for the fall of 2009. Many hours, sweat and scratches were spent pruning yet it still needs work.
This spring starting in January, you have the chance to learn to prune roses under the care of the RSG members. Your efforts will be rewarded by your increased knowledge of rose care and the beauty you will create.
All roses were pruned in January and in February, some 80+ plants were added to replace those removed. The garden looks great!! Check it out next time you are in the "hood."
Keep tuned for upcoming seminars.
